Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Review

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is one of the classiest and most stylish coupes available on the market.You get everything you expect and more with the C-Class Coupe. We take a look in our review as to why the car is so great.

Exterior

The looks very appealing from almost every angle. The car is 41mm lower compared to a standard Mercedes-Benz. This helps the car’s agility and the looks, with Mercedes-Benz seemingly hoping to target a younger generation. The design has certainly stepped up a level in order to compete with its main rivals the Audi A5 and the BMW 3 Series Coupe, which both very stylish cars.

The Drive

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe drives wonderfully whether you decide to speed with aggression or cruise along smoothly. The steering is wonderfully weighted and adapts to the current style of driving. The exterior is not only stylish but dynamic too. The braking is smooth and too making the drive as comfortable as possible. The rear wheel drive chassis helps the car control it’s weight depending on the situation. The driver aids are so good that drivers can feel completely safe even when testing the car to its limit.

Performance

The Mercedes-Benz’s C-Class Coupe has it’s fair of power throughout the entire range. The 1.8 litre turbo petrol can produce a respectable and satisfying 156 BHP. The hand built 6.2 litre AMG engine is able produce an outstanding 457 BHP.

The 6.2 AMG is able to beat its main rivals, the BMW M3 as well as the Audi RS 5 in terms of acceleration from 0 – 60 MPH, with a timing of 4.5 seconds.

The two diesel variants are able to produce 170 BHP and 204 BHP respectively. They may even prove to be the most popular variants here due to their mix of providing a smooth and powerful drive yet being more economical when compared to the petrol variants.

Costs

Surprisingly, running the car will not cost as much as some may think. The diesel models especially are brilliant in terms of fuel economy, averaging 50 MPG whilst emitting between 133 g/km and 143 g/km of C02.
