Mercedes-Benz open India’s largest luxury showroom

Mercedes-Benz has opened India’s largest luxury car showrooms in Devas Naka, which is in the city of Indore in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It has a wonderfully large display area for the German cars along with a café and a customer lounge.

The showroom itself measures over 20,000 sq ft. Mercedes-Benz invested Rs 5 crore in the project which took six month to develop.

3S project

It will be more than just a showroom. It will greatly assist in Mercedes-Benz India’s servicing and spare parts ease of use. It has been described as a 3S project (Sales, Services and Spares).

Debashis Mitra – Everything on track

Debashis Mitra, the Director of Sales & Marketing within Mercedes-Benz India has said everything is in the right place for the company’s strategy. He said “Go to the customer’ strategy and are confident of giving our esteemed customers a premium vehicle ownership experience. The inauguration of the new showroom further deepens our commitment to the market and also to our discerning customers of Madhya Pradesh”.

Debashis Mitra and Sanjay Thakker, the Chairman & Managing Director were present for the opening of the dealership.

Location

The location of the dealership itself was vitally important. It was placed within the industrial hub of Indore at Ring Road.

Great progress for Mercedes-Benz

The new dealership will be a great way of expanding Mercedes-Benz’s profile in India. Last year they were lagging behind BMW in terms of sales but not by much. Last year Mercedes-Benz India managed to sell 7089 cars which represented a growth of 22.7%.

Dieter Zetsche

Dieter Zetsche, the Chairman of the Board of Management at the Daimler AG has released a statement emphasising just how important India is for Mercedes-Benz. His exact words were “India is an important growth market for us. We see high demand for our A and B Class segments in India. We plan to enlarge our dealer network and ramp up production capacities,”

New releases

Expected to be within the new showroom by 2014 is five new compact vehicles that Mercedes-Benz India are hoping to release. This is an attempt to be the number one luxury car manufacturer in India once again ahead of BMW.
There will be a Drive-in valet service in the new dealership. Along with the new Café and exclusive customer lounge, the new Mercedes-Benz dealership will offer customers a fantastic new experience.
