Mercedes-Benz USA celebrates best new restaurant

News reports emerging from the United States have confirmed that Mercedes-Benz partnered The James Beard Foundation sponsoring the Best New Restaurant Award. This year’s winner was Next in Chicago. The glamorous ceremony was at Lincoln’s Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

In order to connect with Americans at a deeper level, Mercedes-Benz joined forces with the James Beard Foundation back in 2010. This helped the company’s automotive innovation adapt to American culture.

Bernhardt Glaser, the Vice President of Marketing in the United States expressed his delight at being involved in the award ceremony. He said “The Mercedes-Benz brand is synonymous with automotive excellence. Our owners also enjoy fine dining experiences from the best chefs and restaurants across the U.S, and our relationship with James Beard underscores this connection. We are thrilled to present the Best New Restaurant Award to Chef and Owner Grant Achatz and Next.”

Next Restaurant in Chicago was originally opened in 2011. It has a great deal of wonderful service and high quality food and drinks. They are said to be one of the most influential new restaurants in the United States. They are said to play a major part in North America’s food industry in the following years to come.

Mercedes-Benz will work closely with this year’s winner in order to develop clever automotive solutions.

Mercedes-Benz USA’s headquarters are based in New Jersey. Their line-up of vehicles in the country is perhaps the most diverse out of all luxury divisions, offering a total of 12 vehicles. These range from the ever popular C-Class, the luxurious S-Class saloon and the superb M-Class SUV, not to mention the SLS AMG sports car. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans are currently selling very well in the country, with a huge increase over the previous year. Smart cars are also beginning to pick up in terms of sales in the United States too.

The battle for the number one spot at the top of the sales charts is currently one of the most talked about subjects in the American car industry. Last year’s battle saw an intense rivalry with BMW, with Mercedes-Benz losing out but only by a small fraction. This year has been a year of twists and turns, with either German company leading from month to month. Who will claim the number one spot this year?
