Mercedes-Benz America smashes their sales record

Mercedes-Benz America sold a total of 264,460 cars this year. This topped any other year in terms of sales for the company, representing a magnificent achievement for the company.

A great December

In comparison to 2010, sales increased by 17.5 % when 225,007 cars were sold. The month of December was a pivotal month in helping the company achieves a record breaking year. Year on year sales were up by 17.5 % in December a total of 28,006 sold in 2011 and 21,469 sold in 2010.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The revised Mercedes-Benz C-Class played its usual part in helping the company’s sales figures. The new sportier style helped its appeal towards the younger generation. 17.9 % more were sold last year compared to 2010. It was once again the company’s top selling model, as is the case across the world.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class was a great performing car in the sales charts with a total of 62,736 delivered throughout the whole year.

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class was another high climber with 20.7 % increase on annual sales. That particular model sold 35,835 in 2011 which is a lot higher than the 29,698 sold in 2010.

Can Mercedes-Benz knock BMW off the top spot next year and become the number one supplier for luxury cars in America?
